Japanese craftsmen at work: swordsmiths, bamboo artisans, woodworkers, potters. Heat, tools, hands, and the raw materials. My background is industrial, and I bring the same approach to photographing craft: process over product, the person over the object. A sample of the makers I've shot around the country, and the visual approach I'd bring to a longer story.
